It took me almost two years, but I finally finished this beast - A large mural that purely consists of stories and symbols from my life. Everything that makes me who I am today is on this wall.
I've always been into creating art, but I've never had the opportunity to draw my work on a large scale. There's something about giant art that excites me. One day I was bored and decided I was going to make something happen. Staring at my wall, I said screw it. I went to the hardware store and bought a gallon of white primer. Before the end of the night, my entire bedroom wall was freshly coated white. I turned the whole thing into a 104 square foot canvas. I broke out my black markers and started working. No plans. No ideas. Just me, my style, and a giant surface.
After finishing with the hand drawn portion, I used my graphic design skills to vectorize the entire thing. This helped turn my bedroom wall into a poster. According to Illustrator, I had drawn a little more than 8,000 lines to create my very first mural.
